November 2010

January 2011
Research from SUSTAIN/APART will be compiled in the group exhibition Curious Silence at the Brand Library in Glendale, CA. Curious Silence was initially shown at SOIL Gallery in Seattle, WA, and was curated by Heather Rasmussen and Renee Martin. This incarnation of the exhibition will be on view in January 2011.

You can currently view and participate in an ongoing online and physical exhibition of mine, SUSTAIN/APART, at CANAL, curated by artist Jess Minckley.

JANUARY 2011

Cooking Residency @ JMOCA Los Angeles

OCTOBER 2009
I am happy to announce that I will be in residence for the weekend of October 16th at JMOCA, Justin's Museum of Contemporary Art (http://www.jmoca.info/). JMOCA is located in Los Angeles, in the lovely hills of Silver Lake. The purpose of my residency will be to attend to the culinary needs of the entire house and all of its guests for the duration of the weekend. The residency will culminate in an invite-only, several course dinner on Sunday the 18th.

SEATTLE in JULY
I will be installing work for the show "Curious Silence" in late June at SOIL, a collective and a nonprofit gallery in Seattle. The show opens during Seattle's Art Walk on July 1st.

2008 Wight Biennial
GROUP EFFORT: Collaboration as Process and Form

September 25-October 9, 2008
Opening Reception: Thursday, September 25 at 5-8pm

Featuring co-authored objects, public interventions and art collectives, Group Effort explores collaborative practices in the global art school. Fostering community and debate in a transnational context, the biennial addresses contemporary forms of collaboration in visual art schools with 18 projects by more than 30 artists.

The opening reception includes seven projects activated by the artists in the form of an interview, home-brewed beer, a performance, an interpretation of a map, a DJ set, an alternate news taping and a colossal piñata. As part of the biennial, several artists will continue participatory projects in the gallery throughout the first week of the show, and a seminar, "The Parallel Action," will be held on October 6 and 7.
