Ice Harvest

Part of the exhibition “Make Your Own History” at the former Blatz Brewery in Milwaukee, during May of 2008. A garden with donated houseplants was installed in the space, and a giant block of ice was placed in the center to water the garden as it melted. This process is meant to emulate the ecologically efficient method of ice being used in underground tunnels to keep beer fresh all year round, as well as nurturing the soil and plants above.
